NBA JALINGO BRANCH PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO SECRETARY TO THE GOVERNMENT OF TARABA STATE
The Leadership of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Jalingo Branch, led by the Branch Chairman, Dr. Daniel P. Saredau, paid a courtesy visit to the Secretary to the Government of Taraba State, Chief G. T. Kataps, Esq., (Ngwii of Mambila), on 11 August 2026. The visit formed part of the Branch’s ongoing engagements with key stakeholders and provided an opportunity for the newly elected Executive Committee to formally introduce itself to the Secretary to the Government and express appreciation for his participation and support during the Branch’s recent elections and inauguration. During the meeting, Dr. Saredau acknowledged the longstanding support of the Secretary to the Government for the NBA Jalingo Branch and briefed him on some of the administration’s planned projects and programmes. These include the proposed 2027 Law Week and the Bar-Bench-Security Agencies Trialogue, both of which are intended to promote professional development, strengthen collaboration among justice-sector stakeholders and advance the administration of justice in Taraba State. The Branch Chairman also solicited the continued support and leadership of the Secretary to the Government as the new administration works towards the implementation of its programmes and initiatives for the benefit of members and the wider community. In his response, the Secretary to the Government warmly received the delegation and reaffirmed his support for the NBA Jalingo Branch. He pledged his continued commitment to supporting the Branch’s projects and activities, as well as initiatives aimed at promoting the welfare of its members. The Branch also expressed its appreciation for the significant support previously extended by the Secretary to the Government. In particular, the Learned SGS facilitated two buses to convey members of the Branch to the NBA Annual General Conference (AGC) in Port Harcourt and also made a generous financial contribution to support the Branch. The NBA Jalingo Branch deeply appreciates the Secretary to the Government for his continued support, fatherly disposition and commitment to the welfare and advancement of the Branch. The engagement further reinforces the Branch’s commitment to maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders and building partnerships that will contribute to the growth of the legal profession and the effective administration of justice in Taraba State.
