In continuation of its efforts to strengthen institutional relationships with key stakeholders in the justice and security sectors, the Leadership of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Jalingo Branch, led by the Branch Chairman, Dr. Daniel P. Speaking during the engagement, Dr. Saredau emphasised the importance of fostering mutual respect, professional understanding and effective cooperation between NSCDC officers and legal practitioners in the discharge of their respective responsibilities. He noted that closer engagement among justice and security-sector stakeholders is essential to promoting effective administration of criminal justice and strengthening the rule of law in the State. The Chairman also informed the Command of the Branch’s planned Bar-Bench-Security Trialogue, an initiative designed to bring together key stakeholders within the justice and security sectors to identify and address issues affecting the administration of criminal justice in Taraba State. In his response, the State Commandant, Bala Bitrus Anthony, expressed delight at the visit and commended the NBA Jalingo Branch for taking the initiative to strengthen inter-agency relationships and bridge gaps between the legal profession and security institutions. The Commandant assured the delegation of his support and cooperation whenever required, emphasising the shared responsibility of the legal profession and security agencies in upholding the rule of law and maintaining peace and order in Taraba State.
